By working closely with each client, our search team leader develops a search strategy that is consistent with the client’s current and future needs. This strategy is defined by the stage of the company, growth trajectory, product roadmap, and “go to market” plans. We will also develop a target list of direct and indirect competitor companies, targeting key individuals for specific roles.
Once the strategy is carefully crafted we develop a comprehensive position description that includes detailed responsibilities, duties, desired background, and critical selection criteria.
Our process targets highly qualified candidates who are gainfully employed, not currently looking for a new position, and have demonstrated a track record of success and contribution.
We research target companies, potential candidates, and key contacts by leveraging multiple resources in parallel, to quickly develop a base of target candidates. The research resources include our extensive database of accomplished executives, state-of-the-art research tools, our senior team’s network of contacts, and original research.
Our clients and candidates can expect real-time updates, weekly search status calls and reports to provide full visibility on all the important information relative to the search.
After careful screening and evaluation, only candidates that meet or exceed our client’s standards and requirements are presented. The most relevant candidates are interviewed by Essential Solutions in person, and references are checked through our network of trusted contacts. These top candidates are then presented to the client.
We manage the interview process between the client and active candidates, facilitating communications and scheduling meetings between all key parties. Whenever possible, our team leader actively participates with the clients in the first interview for each new search in order to finely tune the search and evaluation process. All clients are provided with direct feedback on how to improve their interview process and increase their opportunity for success.
During the final selection phase, we assist our clients in the due diligence process by conducting in-depth confidential reference checks, in addition to the client’s independent due diligence. At Essential Solutions we are highly sensitive to the confidential nature of this activity and are very careful not to jeopardize the current employment of any of the candidates.
Top top candidate is then offered a contract that has been carefully crafted by Essential Solutions’ top recruitment experts and the client themselves.
Once the offer is accepted Essential Solutions stays in constant contact with the newly hired executive prior to the start date and during the first few months of employment to help identify and mitigate any issues that might jeopardize a smooth transition into the new role. We find that this minimizes the risk of outside influences or a decision reversal.
